Last Epoch Season 5 Weaver Tree: Where Your Points Come From
Weaver Points come from exactly two things: your rank with The Woven faction, and finishing Woven Echoes. Levels grant nothing. Season 5 added three nodes that do nothing unless you deliberately go hunting a Rage of Morditas encounter, and two patches in a row had to fix one of them — a tree specced on launch day was partly built on a bug.

- Points come from: Woven faction rank, plus the first completion of each Woven Echo.
- What it affects: the Monolith of Fate only, not your character.
- New in Season 5: Ubiquity of Rage, Seekers of Ice and Blood, Portents of Blood.
- Current build, October 3, 2026: Hotfix 1.5.1.1.

Where the Points Come From, and How Many There Are
You unlock The Woven by completing your first Cemetery of the Erased, meet Masque at the Haven of Silk, and spend Memory Amber on faction rank. Rank grants points, and rank also unlocks Woven Echoes you can buy — each one you finish for the first time grants more.
Official source: The Woven Faction & Monolith Updates (Eleventh Hour Games, April 7, 2025)
"Further power within the Weaver Tree is gained from increasing your rank within the faction and by completing new Woven Echoes."
The ceiling is the number people get wrong. That official post says the tree holds 50 points total. Maxroll's Weaver Tree Strategies page itemises 53, and every row below comes from that itemisation rather than from Eleventh Hour:
| Source | Points |
|---|---|
| Woven faction rank 1-8 | 1 each |
| Woven faction rank 9 | 2 |
| Woven faction rank 10 | 3 |
| Each Woven Echo, first completion | 1 |
| Tomb of Vessels, The Fading Brink | 2 each |
| Total | 50 official / 53 third party |
No official Season 5 post restates the ceiling, and the Maxroll page has not been updated since May 6, 2026 — months before the season launched. Open your own tree, read the counter, and budget against that.
The same announcement lists 36 Woven Echoes at launch — the pool you grind for points, and why early-season weeks matter more here than later ones.
The Four Node Families
Eleventh Hour described the tree in three sentences. Add the reward-conversion nodes community builds lean on and you get four families:
| Node family | What it does | Good for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Echo and reward frequency | Raises the odds of specific rewards or echo types spawning | Week one — more Woven Echo drops, faster point income | None stated; the cheapest early points |
| Encounter rate | Raises spawn rates of Nemeses, Exiled Mages, Loot Lizards, Rift Beasts | Getting one mechanic on demand | Fills your Echo Web with encounters you did not want |
| Imprint / target farming | Imprint an item or Woven Echo onto the tree for a chance of similar drops from enemies, Echo rewards and Caches | Farming a specific Unique instead of hoping | Competes for spawn space; harder to steer than raw frequency |
| Reward conversion | Fury and Fortune (Maxroll): enemies drop more Runes and Glyphs but stay permanently Enraged at +35% movement speed and +60% attack and cast speed | Late material income | Reaching it means pathing through Warden's Echo, which adds dungeon enemies |
Enrage is why that last row is not free: drop it if you keep dying to fast packs, and on Hardcore skip it until your defence can take it.
Official source: Season 5 patch notes (Patch 1.5, October 1, 2026)
"Some nodes increase the odds of specific rewards or echo types spawning in your Monolith. Others raise the spawn rates of encounters such as Nemeses, Exiled Mages, or Loot Lizards."
What Season 5 Changed About Imprint Nodes
Season 5 buffed the imprint branch and rewrote one Echo Web rule older strategies were built on:
- Imprinted items drop from enemies and Echo rewards around 20% more often.
- Imprinted items drop from Lost Caches around 40% more often.
- Imprint drops are much more likely to keep the high tier affixes of the imprinted item.
- With the Memories of the Observer node, resetting an Echo Web via the Sanctuary of Eterra now stops the Echo Chains at the start of the web spawning with Woven Echoes to their sides.
That last line breaks old plans: the imprint, run ten Echoes, reset, repeat loop no longer refills the web with Woven Echoes. Re-check spawn rates before blaming an S4 plan for underperforming.
The Three New Season 5 Nodes
All three exist for the season mechanic and do nothing outside it. Wording straight from the patch notes:
| Node | Official effect | Take it when |
|---|---|---|
| Ubiquity of Rage | Your Echoes are more likely to contain Rage of Morditas encounters | You want to farm the encounter on demand rather than wait |
| Seekers of Ice and Blood | Unique items and item subtypes specific to Rage of Morditas are significantly more common, but second-phase enemies deal more damage | You clear phase two comfortably and want the Blood and Ice drops |
| Portents of Blood | One random second-phase enemy is replaced by a random Omen, and a pile of corrupted items drops at the end | You are still chasing corruption on this character |
Portents of Blood had the roughest launch. Patch 1.5.1 on October 2, 2026 fixed it: RoM rewards and corrupted items from that node can no longer appear already ruined. Hotfix 1.5.1.1, released October 3, repeats the line.
Your early piles were rolled ruined and unusable. The node is worth taking now — the Season 5 bugs and hotfix tracker covers what else launch week broke.
Spend Order for Your First Week
Order matters more than total. The tree is a connected graph with gated nodes, not a flat list — patch 1.5 had to fix the Inescapable Omens node being unfocusable on a controller D-pad once earlier nodes were activated. A point in a leaf you cannot path to yet does nothing.
- Echo and reward frequency first. They raise your Woven Echo drop rate, and Woven Echo completions pay for the rest of the tree — this branch funds itself.
- One imprint slot, on something you want. Per Maxroll, two imprints of the same Woven Echo give no extra benefit — imprint two different targets or waste a slot.
- Memories of the Observer only if you fish imprints through web resets, and re-read the Season 5 change above first.
- Fury and Fortune last, if at all. It sits behind Warden's Echo, which injects dungeon enemies, and Enraged packs delete underbuilt characters.
- The three Season 5 nodes after that. They only matter once you are running RoM encounters on purpose anyway.
Maxroll says the tree can be respec'd with Memory Amber. We found no official confirmation, so check the cost in game before planning around it.
Weaver Points Are Not the Morditas Unlock Track
Morditas progression lives in the Nexus panel, not on the tree. Completing Rage of Morditas encounters in the Monolith unlocks three Morditas-related challenges tracked there, and Morditas' Anger — which raises both the difficulty and the reward of those three Echoes — is tracked in the Morditas Activity panel. You can soothe him back down from the same panel.
Demigod's Ascendance, the new pinnacle, is a Pinnacle Woven Echo obtained after beating the standard Morditas encounter inside the Circle of Frozen Blood Echo. It sits behind no Weaver Tree node. For the 400 Corruption it needs, see the corruption pushing guide; for the fight, the Morditas boss guide.
FAQ
How many Weaver Points are there in total? 50 officially, 53 per Maxroll, and Season 5 never restated it. The counter in your own tree is the number to budget against.
Where do I unlock The Woven faction? Complete your first Cemetery of the Erased in the Monolith. Masque introduces you at the Haven of Silk; Memory Amber becomes your currency.
Portents of Blood or Seekers of Ice and Blood first? Seekers is the safer pick: more seasonal drops, no random Omen in phase two. Portents is the corruption play, worth it only while pushing toward Pinnacle Morditas.
Does the Weaver Tree carry over between seasons? No official statement either way. Check your tree at the start of a new season rather than assuming.
